My Friends
I believe firmly in the idea that one's friends make the person. When I look at myself and
basically everything I do, it's impossible to not see the influences of my friends. Their
ideas, actions, expressions, and manners have all greatly impacted the person I have become.
This is why I felt it was an obvious necessity to dedicate an entire page of my website to
these people; my friends.
The following bottom portion of this page is kinda like my own shout-outs to all of you right
now, but feel free to email me with interesting facts about yourselves you'd like to see
included or posts. I may make this into a message board in the future. I'm not sure yet.
Hmm... You could email me suggestions too. That'd be appreciated.

Meet My Friends
The Lunch Group: Everybody has a lunch group. That one collection of people who, by
whatever circumstances, have found themselves joined together repeatedly at school for lunch.
It always amazes me whenever I walk around campus how complete strangers become the closest
of friends through these lunch groups. However, it is my own group (of course!) which
astonishes me the most. How can so many different personalities get along so well? Blame
all the bonding I guess. Anyways, here's to my lunch group. You guys are the best!
Becky - A quiet and shy girl... that is, until you get to know her! Having known
Becky since the seventh grade, I know I can always count on her to make me laugh (although I
may be hit in the head with something in the process). She'll also take any
opportunity she can to spring one of her many Pirate jokes on any innocent person
who happens to be situated near her. In addition to being a pirate enthusiast, she's also
the baker in the group. Chocolate cake anyone? And remember, nouns Becky, nouns! Except for
the random "Kitchen!" in which case it's verbs... and, well, appropriate nouns...
Cassandra - Ha! I changed it again! =Þ Yeah, so what would I do without my late
night chatting buddy? Well, considering tonight is one of the nights that she is unable to
come on, I guess I'd just end up pointlessly updating my webpage as I find myself doing right
now. Yeah... actually, I don't know. Hmm... anyways, in case any of you had any
doubt, Cassandra Sassandra here is the only one allowed to address me as M.K. Yep, so
don't even think about it if you ain't her. Yep... Oh! She can draw some pretty awesome
soccer balls -- just FYI... yeah, that was random, but that's one of my better traits
apparently. Yeah, ok, I'm done.
Jodi - Although many have repeatedly called Jodi nuts (and on several occasions
I don't doubt the validity of this statement), she is at the same time one of the most
practical, down-to-earth people I know. She is greatly involved in so many activities that
it's hard to not admire her strong work-ethic. As president of both Key Club and Peers, a
member of the Action Club, and an on-duty lifegaurd at the YMCA (aka The M -- not
The Y), she is almost always busy. Also, the official driver of our group until my
six months are up... which would be TOMORROW! Yeah, well, the Jodester rocks -- fo sho!
Even though she's got some issues with saying the Key Club pledge and knowing in what order
to read a book (the last page does not come first!) she makes up for it by creating
uber cheers with me at football games and keeping an interesting xanga up for me to read.
Jinah - Although not technically a member of our lunch group, I consider her an honorary
member as she represents our Poway branch. A funny and not-so-quiet-as-soon-as-you-get-to-know-her
girl who knows how to be gangsta' when she feels the vibes. Also, she is unmistakably crazed
with an obsession for monkeys.
Lynda - Commonly addressed by the name of "Lynders" in our group, she doesn't say
much, but she turned out some pretty cool pottery from ceramics last year. Although not nearly
as good as my Twenty-Eight Blobs of Clay will be...
The Cohort: While I should have some clever little explanation here to clarify
this category for you all, I decided that it would be much too difficult to explain. Besides,
the only person who really fits in this category knows what I'm talking about.
Christine - An interesting person who, right now, is probably freaking out because
I wrote out her name. Apparently, despite the fact that we always look like we are "plotting
evil things," she doesn't look like the deceitful type. The original creator of DRAMA,
we have been through so many dramatic events together including This Girl, Pet Baby, wet vocab,
the table moved up!, and many more. She also taught me to fear the midday and to always reapply!
Oh! In addition to the above mentioned, she's responsible for exposing me to the world of ska.
I hope I'm pleasing Vasi-ogden sufficiently. Step one...
The School Friends: Without my many friends and acquaintances that I've met
throughout school, classes would be simply unbearable. Wow guys, can you believe it's our
senior year?
Kate - I've known Kate since way back in the middle school days. A fun person
to hang with at break, she's got a spunky personality and tons of pizzazz. She also put up with
me constantly asking what we did in Spanish all last year.
Tara - Although now a sophomore, she'll always be Cassie's freshman. A
cute kid who is quite active in drama and has been in several musicals, including Guys &
Dolls and Les Miserables. Also a terrific dancer who was recently moved into
the advanced dance class! Yay! Oh yeah, she also plays the flute with band.
The Dancers: The following people are all of my closest friends from "the other
half of my life." Together, we go through shows, classes, crazy teachers, and so many rehearsals.
Without them, dance just wouldn't be fun!
Lisa - It's my elfie twin! Seriously, we are so much alike... it's weird.
Only noticable difference between us is, while I spend most of my time outside of dance with
Key Club, she is always busy with Cross Country or Track. *Ahem* She qualified for CIFs doing
the hurdles... but she couldn't go because she had dance. Now, doesn't that make her the most
dedicated person ever? Well, even though we giggle incessantly through dance, that's what
makes it so much more fun! Can't wait for elfie elephant mania!
Kelly - My own personal hairdresser and backstage quick-changer, I know I can always count
on her. Together we choreographed the original (and best) fight dance in between countless
trips to Jamba Juice. Like so many of my friends, she is also insanely busy. A member of
Band, Field Hockey, Soccer, Softball, and occasionally outside drama productions, this girl
is busy every season of the year! Fine by me, just as long as dance stays top priority!
Everybody Else:
If you are not listed above, it's either because a) I wasn't sure if you'd mind if I
put you up here, or b) you're not my friend. Just kidding! Anyways, if you'd like to be
added, just drop me an email and let me know.
