The chemise was worn under all garments like a medieval slip. It absorbs the body's soils and leaves less wear and tear on the outer garments. These are made from the same soft, cotton muslin used to back baby's quilts.

Chemise Only - With a drawstring neckline and very full, long sleeves

For the first wearing, loosen the cord then slip the garment over your head with the tie in back.
Adjust the chemise at the level you wish, then fasten the cord.

Tie cord ends together, tightly. before laundering.
