Monday, February 28, 2005 -- Scarecrow
After listening to the noisy birds for a while, I looked out the window to see three large black crows at the top of the liquid amber tree, (which is currently bare of leaves,) and Pip, about halfway up the tree, climbing up the spindly branches toward the birds as they teased and "cawed" at him. Saturday, February 26, 2005 -- My Day
Happy Birthday to me. Friday, February 25, 2005 -- One More Day Tomorrow is my birthday, but of course, I've been celebrating all month. Thursday, February 24, 2005 -- Two More Days Two more days until my birthday. Wednesday, February 23, 2005 -- Calling Miss Clairol So I went down to the DMV to renew my license. . . "This says your hair color is red." "Yes." "It doesn't look red to me." "It has always been considered red. That's what my license has always said." "Maybe it has darkened. I'm going to put it down as brown." BROWN?!! My hair has never been brown. Obviously, in this age of hair dyed neon pink, purple, and fire engine red, this generation has no idea what a natural redhead looks like. Three more days until my birthday. Wednesday, February 2, 2005 -- Blustery Day Ooo, it is so windy today! While getting the mail, the wind caught a paper and sent it blowing down the street. It was two houses away before I could catch up with it. And speaking of wind blown items, Angel has become quite the huntress. She's very good at chasing down and catching . . . leaves. She brings them into the entry, then calls for me to come see. I'll hear "MEOW, MEOW, MEOW" and there she is proudly sitting next to her leaf. So I lean over the banister and holler down "Good kitty." It seems to make her happy. Lloyd says, "I keep finding leaves all over the house." Better than birds and mice. Tuesday, February 1, 2005 -- Let the Party Begin Today marks the official beginning of Birthday Celebration Month. Just 25 days until my birthday. February is also National Library Lover's Month, National Cherry Pie Month, National Hot Breakfast Month, National Pet Dental Month, National Time Management Month, National Plant the Seeds of Greatness Month, and National Return Shopping Carts to the Supermarket Month. What fun! Monday, January 3, 2005 -- What Disneyland Attraction Are You? We're planning to go to Disneyland again this week before Julie leaves. While looking up the Disneyland hours for Wednesday, I came across this Quizilla quiz and couldn't resist taking it. What Disneyland attraction am I? --- Yep, You guessed it, I'm "It's a Small World."
Quiz Results - "'It's a Small World': The happiest cruise that ever sailed! Surreal and silly, or sweet and touching, you are a well intentioned 1960s homage to the world's diversity that unfortunatly inspires feelings of sheer terror in those who can't help but feel something more sinister lays beneath your shiney surface. But most cannot deny your charm, even if they cannot explain it, and leave feeling better than when they entered. Most overlook the fact that because of your unique style and design, courtesy of Disney Legend Mary Blair, you are a true work of art and you deserve to be appreciated. You are both worldy and simplistic, both cosmopolitan and decidedly middle American. You are a splendid candy-coated contradiction with a sugary, sunny song that one never forgets. If the world truly listened to your never-ending optimism, it could be a small world after all." What Disneyland attraction are you? brought to you by Quizilla Happy New Year!I thought I'd start the new year with a little bit of a new look. |
